Alpine White 2025 BMW M3 G80 Competition after paint correction, PPF, and ceramic coating in Plano, TX
Alpine White Demands Precision
Some performance cars try to blend into traffic. The 2025 BMW M3 Competition in Alpine White is not one of them. With its aggressive stance, flared rear arches, twin-turbo S58 inline-six, and bold front fascia, the G80 platform makes an unmistakable statement before you even touch the starter button.
When the owner—a long-time BMW enthusiast who had been counting down the days until his custom-ordered G80 arrived—brought his brand-new M3 straight to our Plano shop, we immediately shared his excitement. He came to us with a clear objective: safeguard that factory finish against Texas highway debris, stone chips, and harsh weather, without compromising the crisp design lines or leaving visible film edges anywhere on the car.
Alpine White is famously forgiving when it comes to hiding light dust, but it is completely unforgiving if paint protection film (PPF) is installed with exposed seams. Over time, those open edges pick up dirt, leaving dark, unsightly lines along every panel boundary. Doing a vehicle like this justice requires moving beyond computer-cut templates. It demands partial disassembly, tailored film manipulation, and meticulous tucked-edge craftsmanship.

Why We Correct Before We Protect
Even straight off the transport truck or dealership delivery bay, factory paint is rarely immaculate. Transport wrap residue, environmental fall-out, and hasty wash procedures frequently leave behind fine micro-marring and swirl marks in the clear coat.
Before we lay down any film or coating, we start with a full exterior decontamination: a multi-stage hand wash, chemical iron removal, and a clay bar treatment, followed by deliberate paint correction. Refining the clear coat first guarantees we do not seal minor defects underneath clear film for years to come. By bringing out maximum clarity and gloss beforehand, the Alpine White finish radiates a true, mirror-like depth beneath its protective layers.

The Tucked Edge Difference: Disassembly & Craftsmanship
The true measure of high-end film installation lies in the fine detail work around panel margins, badges, and body trim.
Removing & Reinstalling Trim
The G80 M3 features distinctive side fender vents right behind the front wheels. Standard pre-cut PPF patterns usually cut around these pieces, leaving a visible line across the fender face.
To craft a truly seamless transition, we carefully remove the side vent trim prior to applying the film. We lay full-coverage Ultrafit PPF across the fender, hand-wrap the material around the inner return lips of the vent recess, and reinstall the trim securely over the top. This technique delivers total paint protection with zero visible film lines.

Tucking Around Emblems & Panel Margins
We apply that same level of care to the hood. Rather than trimming around the BMW roundel emblem, we lift or work the film tightly underneath its perimeter and tuck the outer film margins neatly around the underside of the hood lip. We take the exact same hands-on approach around the front grilles and headlight channels, providing seamless high-impact defense while keeping the film completely invisible.

Ultrafit Paint Protection Film
To protect the most vulnerable high-impact areas of this M3, we installed Ultrafit Paint Protection Film.
High-grade PPF acts as a tough, energy-absorbing urethane shield against gravel impact and road debris. Thanks to its self-healing topcoat, light wash marks or superficial scuffs naturally vanish when exposed to warm sunlight or warm water.
Ultrafit film provides exceptional optical clarity and UV resistance—a must for white paint, where lower-grade films tend to yellow or haze over time under the Texas sun. It maintains the vivid Alpine White color accurately and includes a 10-year manufacturer warranty against lifting, bubbling, or fading.

NXTZEN Elite Ceramic Coating
With the film precisely set and wrapped, we treated the entire vehicle—including all film-covered panels, unprotected painted surfaces, wheels, and trim—with NXTZEN Elite Ceramic Coating.
While PPF handles physical impact protection, a professional ceramic coating delivers elite hydrophobic properties and chemical resistance. It creates a durable molecular bond across the film and paint, shedding water, bug splatter, road tar, and industrial fallout with ease.
Coating PPF also solves a common challenge with clear film over time: maintaining that slick, newly installed feel. NXTZEN Elite prevents environmental staining, preserves the film's smooth texture, and makes routine maintenance effortless. Dirt releases easily during washing, minimizing friction and keeping the finish pristine with minimal effort.
The Result
Stepping out under the light outside our Plano shop, this Alpine White M3 Competition shows off its sharp contours and crisp paint definition. With every film edge safely wrapped behind trim and under panel lips, there are no exposed edges or seams to collect dirt.
Our customer can now enjoy driving his new M3 with complete peace of mind, knowing its front end is shielded against road debris and the entire body is fully protected for years to come.
